Service Considerations
Most large business and industrial customers are served by the distribution system. If Duke Energy determines a customer’s power requires service directly off the transmission system, these factors must be considered:
- Will Duke Energy need to acquire a new right of way for expanding the transmission lines? If so, the schedule to provide electrical service may be delayed.
- What are the environmental impacts of this expansion?
- What are the construction and modification costs?
